Tighten your five windows

Lets get started, the reason for this info guide is so that you can tighten up your windows, it's very annoying when they are slightly down and you're driving along and all you can hear is your window rattling over your favorite music station... This will put an end to that:

You firstly need to remove you door card to get acess to the two main bolts that support the window guides, doesn't matter in which order you remove the screws, but they all need removing.

Tools needed:

Philips screwdriver Flat head screwdriver (to remove the screw caps) 30 minutes of your time Size 10mm Socket/wrench

Remove screw from underneath screwcap:

Once the above screw is removed, then pull out electric window switch panel, remove the two screws:

By now all the screws have been removed and the door card is ready to be removed, firstly I started by pulling the card away from door near the Electric mirror, then feel you way around, the card clips are made from ABS plastic and are rather strong, so dont be shy when tuggin on the door card. Now you need to pull the door card towards you, and then lift upwards, as there is a lip on the door card that is hooked over the edge of the door...

Be carefull when all the clips have been dislodged, as there are still 2 wires that are connected:

Now that the door card is off, it helps if the switches are still attached as when testing the adjustments that you have made, it's easier to do so. This is what you have to adjust, 10mm socket needed:

The bolts are very shallow and don't need a lot of unscrewing, just about 3-6mm and it is loose, now you need to push them so the are pressing against the window, but no to much as it will scratch when the window is closing/opening. Tighten up and test it, I tend to find that when the window is half way up, that is when there is the most amount of play, so test it like that, and adjust when it totally down.

Put it all back together, and then test. Goodluck, I hope this helps.
