Here's a rough, step-by-step guide for enabling the TRD Spoiler Brakelight

Part 1 Read/view this guide on how to Intall The TRD Spoiler (This is just to familiarise yourself with the parts, harnesses & layout of the Hatch & Spoiler)

Part 2 Remove the Rear Hatch Panel as described in Section 1, Parts j & k Tip How to easily remove the Hatch Rear Panel

Fully open/lift the Hatch Remove the Hatch Pocket & screw Sit in the boot area facing backwards Look upwards and gently pull the top section of the Rear Hatch Panel towards you - the area just below the Heated Rear Window The Panel should just 'pop off'

Part 3 Disconnect/loosen the wires/harness as shown and described below (This makes accessing the harness in the Hatch Rain Gutter so much easier)

A - Disconnect Heated Rear Nearside Spade Terminal B - Unplug Rear Wiper Motor Connector C - Unbolt Multi-Earth Tag D - Connect TRD Spoiler Brakelight Harness Plug to Spare Brakelight Harness Socket 'F' (TRD Spoiler Brakelight Harness Plug 'D', was originally secured in place by sticky foam at 'E')

Gently prise open the oval portion of the Rain Gutter Access Plug to expose the Main Harness

Part 5 Connect the two Green/White Wires by use of a Bridging Wire (The 'Pin-Swap' option didn't work for me, I had to 'splice/bridge' the necessary Wires)

Image 6

Connect the Green/White Wire (B ), in the 2-Pin Connector (A) to the Green/White Wire (F), in the 8-Pin Connector (E), by using the 'Bridging' Red Dot Wire, (C ) and 2 Scotchloks, (D + G) - Note - Bridging Wire is approx 10-15 cm long (Hope this makes sense) Then, gently re-insert the Main Harness & extra wiring back into the Rain Gutter Access Hole - Note - very tight fit

That's it, (hopefully)

Re-assemble everything in reverse order, (up to part 2), and test your brakelights (It's not feasible to test the TRD Spoiler Brakelight with everything disconnected)

With luck, you'll be dazzled by your success.....
