This is the how to without giving too much away about the alarm system.

Note is that the CAT 1 celica alarm is digital so this makes connecting an analogue pager a little bit of a pain. You should always check your item before fitting, just use your car battery to do this, turn the pager on and connect the pos and neg, it should make a noise.

The first thing to do is get a pager, I recommend the falcon communicator, its cheap and we managed to get an open 3/4 mile test and a 1/4 mile in the city. They can be purchased from ebay for around £30.

The next thing to do is remove your siren from the boot, it is located within the right hand panel, there is a bolt top and bottom which needs to be undone then the unit I will slide out, the unit will now be in your hand, unplug the unit and it will beep for about 20 seconds.

Once the unit is out of the car and unplugged open the unit, it has back up batteries in but it won’t alarm.

Once open you can disconnect the battery from the PCB.

Pager and siren unit opened, you don’t need to open the pager...

Next step is to drill a hole in the back of your alarm in the point I have, I sealed this up with hot glue but you can use sealant or nothing as it is not likely to get damp.

Hole for wires

Push wires through the hole and locate the positive and negative solder your connections from the pager, I chopped the wire down to about 300mm or just over.

Solder point! One cable going to the pager the other going to a separate siren connection (don’t worry about that)

Once soldered, rebuild the unit and put screws back in and then test, for this plug your siren in and then unplug when the unit beeps this will activate your siren, if it doesn't your soldering is crap or you have not turned the item on, it wont be faulty because you did test it, didn't you??

Now just fit the siren back and fit the unit as shown below. The areal for the pager is fitted on the inside of the car in the area highlighted, stuk to the body panel

You final test is one of three ways,

A, open the drivers door and press lock B, set your alarm off C, keep pressing lock.
