Make sure overdrive is button is in the on position (dashboard light is off when the ignition is on) Connect Tt and E1 (or Te1 and E1 for later models) with a paperclip / bit of wire. Turn the ignition on and count the number of times the overdrive light flashes.
Error codes for Automatic Transmission (ECT)
42.............. Defective no1 speed sensor
61...............Defective no2 speed sensor
62...............Defective no1 solonoid
63...............Defective no2 solonoid
64...............Defective lock up solonoid
